Congratulations to our Youth4Abolition™ Nation Ford High School Chapter President, Sophia, for winning the first On Eagles Wings Volunteer Recognition award.  Under Sophia’s leadership, her team and high school Y4A chapter accomplished amazing growth leading to broad impact in, not only in her school, but also in the larger Fort Mill SC and regional community. Following the Youth4Abolition™ curriculum, she and her team led understanding of the torch human trafficking issues and prevention opportunities for their peers.  Many students participated in various events throughout the year including the hugely successful Pancakes for Freedom pancake breakfast and panel discussion with Olympic HS in January 2019 and participating in the A21 Walk for Freedom.  Sophia received her award at the last Y4A meeting of the year while the club worked on further impact with a “one click” email campaign to SC federal and state representatives.

Youth4Abolition™ works!  Thank you, Sophia, for your leadership.  We look forward to your college years still making an impact in the fight for freedom from modern day slavery.
