Youth4Abolition Chapters Heading Back to School

Five years ago, OEW formed Youth4Abolition (Y4A) as our prevention and awareness arm. Youth4Abolition recognized that prevention methods focused on the education of our youth, who are the primary targets of these human traffickers, could end this cycle and abolish human trafficking, commonly referred to as modern day slavery.

Y4A develops and supports youth-led chapters across North and South Carolina that meet regularly to learn about the problem of domestic minor sex trafficking while spreading awareness in their broader communities. This month as students head back to school, new Youth4Abolition chapters are starting in North and South Carolina schools. Y4A chapters involve hundreds of students as leaders and attendees. One of the key objectives of the Y4A program is the development of student-led awareness events where students and families in the community can participate together.

If your student is interested in starting a Y4A chapter in their school please reach out to us for more information, Y4A@oewHOPE.org
