WB Yeats once said that: “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire”. College students from Montreat College joined us for three separate events during the month of February and are definitely on fire about the fight to end human trafficking. They have taken the information we shared with them and will continue to carry the message to their peers and community as Montreat College students start a new Y4A college chapter this spring.
During January, our clubs brought far-reaching awareness through a fantastic, first-of-its-kind online event, raised over $1500, had a WBTV Sunday morning TV appearance, and participated in the creation of a Shared Hope International PSA video on “Sexting”. We are so proud of our clubs and all the hard work they have done.
Human Trafficking education and awareness is a year-round commitment. Our Y4A students really are on fire all year long.
